Sodium Molybdate 39.0% Food Grade Description
Sodium Molybdate 39.0%, usually as dihydrate salt, is primarily used in the manufacture of reagents, dyes, molybdenum red pigments, molybdenum salts, and lightfast color precipitants. It is also used in alkaloid determination, flame retardant production, and as a metal corrosion inhibitor in cooling water systems.
Molybdenum is an essential trace element for the human body. Sodium molybdate 39.0% food grade can be added as a nutritional fortifier to dietary supplements to help meet the body’s molybdenum requirements. The dosage and application must comply with strict regulations and established standards.

Production Sample Flow
- Sodium Molybdate 39.0% food grade is extracted from molybdenum concentrate, whose main component is MoS₂.
- The concentrate is first subjected to oxidative roasting to produce molybdenum trioxide, which is then leached with an alkaline solution to obtain a sodium molybdate solution.
- The leachate is then filtered by suction, evaporated, and concentrated.
- The concentrated liquid undergoes cooling crystallization, centrifugal separation, and drying to yield the final sodium molybdate product.
